Two Arizona groups rising to the InnovateHER Challenge

PHOENIX — Next Week, both Arizona Women’s Education and Entrepreneurship Center (AWEEc) and the Arizona Small Business Development Center will host their free pitch events as part of national prize competition, the InnovateHER Challenge. Entrepreneurs will pitch their ideas to expert panels in hopes of moving on to the next level of the competition.

The AWEEc, along with ASU Entrepreneurship + Innovation and SEEDSPOT invites those not competing to view the pitch event and take advantage of networking and educational opportunities. The event takes place at the ASU Downtown Campus A.E. England Building, 424 N. Central Avenue at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5.

The Arizona Small Business Center is hosting their event the same day from 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at Gateway Community College, 108 N. 40th St. South Building.

The InnovateHER Challenge intend to unearth products and services impacting and empowering the lives of women and families. It begins at the local level and culminates in a finals competition on March 16 and 17 in Washington, D.C. As many as three finalists will compete for cash prizes sponsored by Microsoft and totaling $70,000.
