CHANDLER, Ariz. — Burger 21 is set to open its second Arizona location next week, at 2855 W. Ray Rd. in Chandler. The Florida-based franchise opened its first restaurant in the western U.S. in Scottsdale earlier this year, and the same franchisee, Dan Lenhauser, will operate the Chandler store, creating 60 new restaurant jobs.

“I’m thrilled to expand Burger 21’s presence in Arizona with the opening of the new Chandler location,” said Lenhauser. “Burger 21 has a unique culture and a diverse menu that appeals to a wide array of guests. We have already built a loyal following at the Scottsdale location and I have no doubt that the Chandler community will also love our gourmet burgers without the gourmet price.”

Founded in Florida in 2010, Burger 21 builds on the popular “fast casual” restaurant model. The chef-inspired menu includes 21 unique burger creations ranging from hand-crafted, freshly ground beef, to chicken, turkey, vegetarian, shrimp and tuna burgers, fresh salads, all-beef hot dogs, chicken tenders and a large selection of shakes. Burger 21 currently has franchised 15 locations, primarily in the eastern U.S. Its parent company also founded The Melting Pot restaurant chain.

The Chandler location will comprise 2,400 square feet, with seating for 70 inside, as well as a patio that will seat 50.
