Accelr8 Technology Brings New Process to Detect Super Bugs and 65 New Jobs to Tucson

Accelr8 Techology is a biotech firm that is developing a process called BACcel, which rapidly detects pathogens and identifies levels of drug resistance within two to six hours, as opposed to the usual two to three days. 

Accelr8 is relocating to Tucson and plans to add new positions for engineers and scientists as well as sales/marketing, management, finance, manufacturing, and regulatory positions.  If all goes accord to plans, the company could add as many as 300 new jobs over the next few years.
